MCPSS has several provisions that are necessary to understand in order to submit a transfer application. Please read and understand these provisions before submitting an application.

​​Student Transfer Application

​​The application period for student attendance zone transfers for the 2026-2027 school year is: January 12th - March 13th, 2026

​An application is required for students who wish to enroll in a school that is outside of their attendance zone. Once the transfer is approved, it is valid through the school's exit grade unless the transfer is revoked.

Please make note of the schools accepting transfers. Submitting an application for a school that is not accepting transfers will be denied due to the fact that space is not available to accommodate additional students. ​​Choice Transfer Form

Parents choosing to transfer their child to a Choice School must complete a Choice Transfer Form. The Choice Transfer application period is July 28 - August 05, 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year.
